Whew. What a ride. This has been an enlightening Summer for me. Not only have I done 23 things but I also did a workshop with Education Connection for Digital Media in the 21st Century for two days. THAT was something I had to process for a while and frankly I am still processing it. It actually was extremely interlinked with what I have learned in web 2.0 and I found it very useful in the workshop that I had covered some of this material.
This has really changed my way of thinking in terms of how we share information and how we organize it. It also blows me away to think about how much smarter we are going to be and how much faster. I think the students are going to be very appreciative of their instructors that choose to embrace their digital future and guide them into it. It was a topic of discussion in the workshop : "What happens if we ignore it and let them run rampant with technology?"
Some of the answers are frightening, and we have already seen evidence of what happens i.e. text language. The generation of our students today have created a language that many of us do not even know, and they wil continue to do so in everyway of we don't grab on to it!

Thing 22 yippeee!
https://resourcesartresearch.wikispaces.com/
ok this is awesome and I cna not WAIT to use this in my classes. My students are always finding new things and have no way to collaborate because they can not add anything to my source folder... sniff. I love this and will continue to add my resources to it. WHat a great thing for the school to have access to as well! Other teachers could use a lot of these sources to weave into their lessons, Because we all know... Art IS everywhere! :)

thing 21
OK this I can get into! I actually see more real world use for this than classroom. I think that digital portfolios and class bloggs are good for online content for class but this, like the camping trip, is great for planning something in your life. My mother and I are currently trying to find places to live for my aunt and uncle. I have created a googledocs folder for the four of us to share as they live in VA... if my aunt and uncle were a little more savy, this would be perfect.
Thing 20 ... furthermore
I did find a cool site called justfreebooks.com and saw that I could really find anyuthing... even one of my favorites, "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera :) That's very cool.
Thing 20 Ebooks
This is cool but I find traces of commercialism woven into these books and it is annoying. If I am going to cerebrally (invented word) immerse myself in something, I do not want the cogs of capitalism seeping in there with it telling me that I need a Lexus. I love a good book but my mother SWEARS by her kindle... no Art?
I suppose I need to get used to it because of its inevitability.

RAW file tutorial thing 17
http://www.video-tutes.com/video_1024.php?f=http://traffic.libsyn.com/cspodcast/podcast-PS-ACRonJPG.mp4
OK I should get exxxtraaa redit for this because I had to download software and get really frustrated with commercialist opportunists trying to trick me into buying things and donating to little orphans when all I wanted was to do my homework. I did this because in the programs I teach, things change everday. Furthermore, the programs are so big that I can't possibly know all of everything (sadly). These podcasts can tell me ANYTHING especially about digital matters. I can also post these podcasts to the digital forum I hope to have wiht my classes, and if a student misses a demo, I can refere them to the podcast or they cona do it from home! Voondevar! Downloading an aggregator allowed me to have access to all sorts of podcasts for my classes.

Thing 16
I used 30 boxes which is great because it links up to facebook and twitter and everythingn else in the world. I'm not sure how much I would use it because I use my backberry so much and it really rules my life. With that said, if this sit ecame up with a way to sync up to your Blackberry... then we would be talkin'! I did add some events thoguh and it shows up on my igoogle home page which I really like as well.
Thing 15
I love this... I heard about it and can't believe that I haven't explored this sooner. Especially with the anarchy of trying to keep track of the jump drive with all of my grad school work (would regularly break into a sweat at the thought that I may have forgotten it, or worse, lost it). This will be great for my husband's business too because he can store estimates etc and access them from the field. It is truly so amazing and simple, long gone are the days that the dog ate your homeowrk kids... or my printer is broken blah blah blah. Teachers should REQUIRE IT!

14 again...
Ok I have my numbers right now. I joinde Facebook and its all I use now to stay in touch with my friends! I was able to reconnect with people from all over the world who I love but lost touch with. Its great to be able to share pictures, music, jokes, movies or whatever is on your mind. BIG fan. :)
thing 14
OK I choose diigo and its definitley cool. The mobile aspect of places that you liek to go ont he web or frquenlty go is GREAT! I also love the organizational "lists" and lists within lists! I love lists! The highlighing part is great too I will be excitited to use this more because we are very web based in our household and anti paper!
oops 12
I sort of mixed 12 and 13 together in my reflection. as I saw them as a mixture of things that went together. I especially like the taggin fro photos because I am nosey and like to know who is in different pictures. I can also see how its beneficial for classroom purposed in guiding you students ot them guiding one another.

This could be helpful as I see the organizational factor of my own "favorites" getting a little scary. However, until I try it, I am sceptical because I see a similar potential for a mess. In the classroom setting however, I can see how the collaborative factor can be a very powerful tool, especially for those following a cooperative learning model. The students could really use this to teach each other and discover together in each unit.
